Trapper's Sushi Culebra is open for business in San Antonio!
Trapper’s Sushi Co. Culebra has officially opened today, September 30th 2024, in San Antonio’s Culebra Commons with a ribbon cutting ceremony by The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce!
Trapper’s Culebra features our trademark All-You-Can-Eat sushi bar, expansive menu of Trapper’s Sushi rolls and Asian fusion dishes, full bar with signature cocktails, beer, wine, and sake, a large dine-in area with patio, and excellent location in the San Antonio suburbs. Trapper’s Culebra will be managed by Josh Suka, a long-time Trapper’s Sushi Co. employee who began as an Assistant Manager and is now the GM and Operator of our 15th Trapper’s Sushi location.
“We are thrilled to be expanding in San Antonio,” says Trapper’s Founder and Owner, Trapper O’Keeffe. “We have been welcomed by the community and received such an extremely positive response from our customers, we felt there was a strong opportunity to bring Trapper’s distinctive brand of great jobs, fantastic food, and outstanding customer service to more of San Antonio.”
Inspired by the communities we serve, fan favorite sushi rolls like the Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Mountain, and Sounder are named for Trapper’s locations and the places and things we love. Our friendly chefs are regularly creating new sushi and drink concepts to rotate into our menu, so you know you can always expect something exciting and fresh at Trapper’s.
“We have been fortunate to meet so many new Trapper’s Fanatics in San Antonio, and we are excited to bring the Trapper’s experience to Culebra Commons,” says Trapper’s CEO Farrah Scott. “San Antonio is an excellent place to do business, and we look forward to continuing growth in Texas and making a positive impact in the community.
San Antonio is home to the first Trapper’s Sushi Partnership Store, Trapper’s Sushi Dove Creek. Trapper’s purpose is to give ordinary people extraordinary opportunities in the restaurant industry, and nothing demonstrates this mission like our partnership stores, in which Trapper’s employees can enter into an ownership relationship with Trapper’s and leverage their unique expertise in owning, operating, and managing a store with the support of the Trapper’s corporate team.
Trapper’s Dove Creek has wasted no time impacting the San Antonio community, partnering with the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, sponsoring local schools and sports teams, and providing catering services to local weddings, schools, day cares, and more.
Trapper’s Sushi Co. operates 15 restaurants across Texas, Arizona, and our original home of Washington state. For 20 years, Trapper’s has delighted customers with our mission to learn the customer’s name and provide the best food and service possible. Our goal is to make Trapper’s a place customers want to visit again and again, and an incredible place to work and grow.
In addition to an upbeat, family-friendly dining experience - complete with live sports and events on television throughout the restaurant - Trapper’s Culebra offers mobile app ordering for delivery and pickup, and third party delivery options like DoorDash and UberEats, so you can have the Trapper’s experience at home any time you want.
The Trapper’s menu features a large selection of our signature long sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi, delicious appetizers, and no-compromise options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diners. For customers who prefer cooked entrées, Trapper’s offers teriyaki combos, and we offer a delicious kids menu for children 10 and under.
The Trapper’s Sushi Co. organization is also dedicated to charitable service as a core part of our mission and brand. To date, Trapper’s has raised and donated nearly $2 million in support of Valley Girls & Guys, a Washington-based non-profit dedicated to cancer research and support for families experiencing cancer. We proudly offer military discounts, great benefits, and volunteer in the communities we serve.
“Trapper’s is sending some of our best people to open our new Culebra Commons location, and we are confident this location will be another Trapper’s success story,” says Farrah Scott, Trapper’s CEO. “Feedback from our San Antonio customers, who say they love the huge selection of delicious sushi and great service that we offer, has driven many positive changes in our company, and we can’t wait to provide great food and service to more customers in San Antonio, while giving our new Trapper’s employees the opportunity to be a part of something extraordinary.”
